My Baby's Favorite Soothing Product
My daughter was always calm when I wore her in a simple sling. She often drifted off to sleep that way, or just enjoyed the different views as we moved together around the house.
Other Baby Soothing Techniques
A pacifier also helped when she was very fussy. I didn't go straight to the pacifier when she cried because I didn't want it to end up in her mouth constantly. Just using it for the most fussy times seemed to help.
Advice
- Take notes about what works for your baby and when. If your baby is fussy and you're tired, you may not be able to make connections about what might be making the baby cry, or what soothing methods work best at various times of day. Having the record there in black and white might help you identify patterns and find the perfect way to calm the baby down.
