Pocoyo SwiggleTraks Toy Set Features
The car with Pocoyo in it requires 2 AAA batteries. The bridge portion of the track takes 3 AAA batteries. The car can move itself around the track and push the ball, and the bridge wiggles around to make the track even more fun.
You can assemble the track pieces into a large circle or oval with the bridge piece in it. You can also make it into a small banked circle (Swiggle Stunt), flip that circle over and it makes a Swiggle Hill, or make the tracks into a wheel that Pocoyo's car can ride inside like a hamster wheel.
The Pocoyo SwiggleTraks toy set costs between $18 and $25.
What I Like About the Pocoyo SwiggleTraks Toy Set
I like the flexibility of this toy. Toddlers can get bored easily, but with this track set you can change up the SwiggleTraks to create a new game in just a few minutes. You can see how the car rolls on a very smooth surface versus a rougher one. You can watch the car push the ball around the track. You can create patterns with the different colors in the track set. There are plenty of play time options, including the various shapes you can make with the SwiggleTraks. This is great for imaginative play.
The little car with Pocoyo in it is a perfect size for toddler hands to carry around and zoom along. Toddlers will like the car on its own, even away from the track set.
The moving bridge piece is fun and adds to the entertainment of the track set. Toddlers will love watching the car drive along as the bridge wiggles back and forth.
The battery life is pretty good for a child's toy. This won't be the toy that disappoints your toddler because it's always out of batteries.
What I Don't Like About the Pocoyo SwiggleTraks Toy Set
There are lots and lots of SwiggleTraks pieces. For a toddler toy, that could get very messy. Toddlers like to carry things around with them. They also tend to have very short attention spans, and they drop whatever they're carrying when their attention is drawn elsewhere. If you don't keep a close eye on all of those pieces, they can be lost in a hurry, making the toy less fun.
The car and bridge don't work as well on carpet, particularly if it's very thick.
There's no instruction book in the box. Putting the SwiggleTraks together wasn't hard, and neither was installing the batteries, but an instruction book would be nice. The box has photos of the various ways you can arrange the track pieces, but who wants to keep the bulky box when the tracks and Pocoyo's car will fit in a much smaller bin?
