The sprayer on the Quit Bugging Me bottle is really nice. It delivers a fine mist that feels like aerosol, and dries quickly. It's easy to just mist a little of the bug spray onto exposed skin without any gloppy extra drops going everywhere. If you sprayed a lot on, it might feel oily, but the mist is light enough that it doesn't if you use it sparingly. No rubbing is required.
The scent is a little strong, but not at all chemical. It's a little bit citrus, a little bit soap, and maybe a little botanical. A strange mix, certainly, but not entirely unpleasant, and it's far better than most other bug sprays.
Most importantly, Jason "Quit Bugging Me" natural bug spray does seem to work. No one that I sprayed with this bug spray seemed to have trouble with bites, which would normally be a problem this time of year. The company says you should re-apply the spray every 2-3 hours to maintain effectiveness.
Note: Even though the active ingredients are all natural, remember that plant oils can still cause skin irritation and allergic reactions. You may want to spray a small test area first and wait a bit to check for reactions before spraying all exposed skin, particularly if your there's a family history of sensitivities.
