May 13, 2009 - More than 71,000 Eddie Bauer play yards in the U.S. and Canada are recalled because play yard’s rocking bassinet attachment can tilt even when secured by straps in the non-rocking mode or can stay tilted without returning to a level sleeping surface while in the rocking mode, causing an infant to roll to the corner or side of the bassinet. The baby could become wedged in the corner or pressed against the bassinet's side or bottom, posing a suffocation or positional asphyxiation risk. All 05046 model numbers are recalled, along with any 05044 units manufactured before Dec. 1, 2008. Model numbers and date codes are on a sticker on a leg support. Dates are in the YY/MM/DD format. Jardine Crib Recall Expansion
Apr. 30, 2009 - About 96,000 additional Jardine cribs have been recalled because the slats can break and create a gap, posing an entrapment and strangulation hazard. Seven crib models are recalled. Baby Gap Coats
Apr. 30, 2009 - About 23,000 Baby Gap children's coats in the U.S. and Canada are recalled because the toggle fasteners can break off, posing a choking hazard. Rose Toggle Hoodie (style 600298), Pink Duffle Coat (style 600344) and Blue Plaid and Mojave Toggle Coat (style 600942) are included in the recall. The coats were sold in infant sizes up to 24 months. Stop using the coats and return them to any babyGap, GapKids or Gap store for a refund.
Pumpkin Patch Hooded Raincoats
Apr. 30, 2009 - About 800 Pumpkin Patch girls hooded raincoats are recalled because they have a drawstring in the hood, which poses an entanglement and strangulation hazard. Tupperware Maracas
Apr. 16, 2009 - About 44,000 Tupperware Shape-O toy maracas are recalled because the maracas can break, exposing small parts that pose a choking hazard. Also, the handles pose a suffocation risk. Apr. 9, 2009 - More than 70,000 Buster Brown & Co. "CARS" infant and toddler fleece clogs are recalled because the decorative wheels can detach, posing a choking hazard. An additional 18,000 shoes are recalled in Canada. The red clogs have a fleece lining and the number 95 on the side. They were sold at Walmart stores in the U.S. and Canada from Sept. 2008 through Mar. 2009. Stop using the shoes and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.
Simplicity Play Yards
Apr. 7, 2009 - About 25,000 Simplicity Travel Tender play yards are recalled because the rails can collapse, posing a fall or entrapment hazard. The portable play yards came with a bassinet, changing table and mobile, and were sold at Burlington Coat Factory stores, as well as Target.com, Kohls.com and Babiesrus.com between Mar. 2005 and Jan. 2009.
