Swaddleaze Swaddling Baby Blanket

Swaddleaze Baby Swaddling Blanket

2 Virtues. Used with permission.

The Bottom Line

Most babies like to be swaddled, at least in the first few weeks after birth. Swaddling with a regular blanket is practically an art form, though. Swaddleaze takes the guesswork out of swaddling your baby, making it easy to just zip baby in and secure the Velcro flap to keep baby's arms from flailing. This all-in-one swaddler is a safer option than loose blankets and will not come undone to pose a suffocation hazard.
Pros
  • Incredibly soft fabric is comfortable for baby.
  • Swaddling flaps are easy to use.
  • Can be used without swaddling flap on baby's arms.
  • Reasonable price.
  • Provides alternative to loose blankets in baby's crib.
Cons
  • Diaper changes require undoing the flaps and the whole zipper.

Description

  • Two-in-one swaddling blanket and sleep sack.
  • Super-soft chamois fleece and cotton terry fabrics are machine washable and dryer safe.
  • Priced at $25.
  • Comes in preemie, newborn and infant sizes to fit babies from 3-25 pounds.
  • Can be used with swaddling flap under baby's arms as a sleep sack.

Guide Review - Swaddleaze Baby Swaddling Blanket

The Swaddleaze baby swaddling blanket looks a little funny when you first see it on a baby, but it works as well as anything when you need to swaddle your baby. A zippered pod with a swaddling "wing" that secures on the back with Velcro, the Swaddleaze wearable blanket is used to keep newborns from flailing their arms and startling themselves awake. Swaddling newborns is a great technique for getting some additional sleep, and for some babies, it provides relief from colic. The Swaddleaze also gives parents another option for keeping baby warm in the crib without adding loose blankets that could pose a suffocation risk and possibly increase the risk of SIDS. The Swaddleaze swaddling flap starts on baby's side and is wrapped over baby's top, over the arms, and around to the back where a Velcro strip secures it in place. This flap will not come loose as baby sleeps or wiggles around, so there's no worry of things coming untucked as there is when swaddling with traditional baby blankets. The swaddling flap also can be wrapped over the top and under baby's arms to keep baby warm when swaddling is no longer necessary, which extends the useable life of the Swaddleaze blanket. One of the best features of this wearable blanket is the super-soft, slightly fuzzy fabric. The fabric is comfortable for baby and irresistable to touch for parents. Swaddlease is machine washable and dryer safe, and it comes in five great colors. This wearable swaddling blanket is a great baby shower gift.
