The first time I saw the Baby Dipper bowl in person, they had marbles in the bowl to try to pick up with the spoon. With this bowl, it was actually easy to pick up marbles with the spoon without even touching or tilting the bowl. If you've ever had peas escape from you repeatedly on a plate, you know the value of this marble experiment.
The bottom of the Baby Dipper bowl is non-skid, and stays in place very well. I like that it stays in place without a suction cup, so when you want to move it you don't end up sloshing leftover food across the room when the suction cup lets go.
It's easy for parents to use the Baby Dipper with one hand, so they can keep the other hand on baby or whatever else it is you need to be doing at the moment. You can see through the sides of the bowl, so you can tell how much food is left in there without having to tip it or lean over it.
Toddlers also can use the Baby Dipper feeding set when they're learning to feed themselves. The same features that make it easy for parents to use the bowl one-handed make it simple for toddlers to learn to scoop up their own food. The non-slip bottom helps when your toddler gets a little overzealous with the scooping, too.
The Baby Dipper is a little expensive for a bowl and spoon at just over $12 for the set, but it's durable and easy to wash up quickly, so the long-term use and convenience make it worth a little extra.
