If your baby has developmental delays or is at risk for them, Baby Builders can help you prevent or address those delays. The program was created by a pediatric physical therapist who has done quite a bit of research into how to boost baby's development. The DVD and book are broken into four stages, so you can either start from birth or choose a stage that matches your older baby's skills. Even babies without any known delays can benefit from the time spent with a parent and from the exercises themselves.
The parents who tested this DVD were using it with children who were adopted internationally and who had some minor developmental delays, likely due to institutional living prior to adoption. These parents felt that the exercises were easy to follow and that they did benefit babies and young toddlers with developmental delays.
Stage 1 in the DVD addresses strength, primarily in the neck. Stage 2 focuses on balance, including rolling from tummy to back and vice versa. Stage 3 begins to address movement and helps baby learn to push up, creep, crawl and pull up to standing. Stage 4 prepares baby for walking by focusing on coordination for cruising and standing, as well as coordination for self-feeding and other skills.
If you'd like to be proactive in your baby's development, Baby Builders gives you the tools to help your baby learn skills, prevent or address developmental delays, and spend quality time together.
