Cool Ways To Store Bath Toys

Stylish Options To Keep The Bathroom Neat

By

Bath toy storage is a necessity when you have young kids, or the bathroom soon feels overrun with floating ducks and other soggy bath gear. Simply storing bath toys in a bucket or other container is easy, but the extra water usually leads to mildew. Thankfully, there are some better options for storing bath toys. Whether you want something fun that's almost a bath toy itself, or more stylish containers that blend with your home's decor, these bath toy storage options will keep the bathroom neat, and since they drain well, they'll lessen the chances of mildew on bath toys.

If you can't or don't want to use suction cups for your bath toy storage container, check out Kuster's Bath Toy Store, a sleek, stylish option that won't take up much bathroom space. It's made up of two buckets. The inner bucket has drains at the bottom and feet that let air circulate under any toys that are sitting inside. You can scoop bath toys right out of the tub with it and the water drains away easily. Pop it inside the outer bucket and any additional water will be caught in the bottom, but those feet make sure the bath toys aren't sitting in a puddle, so they don't get gross. Bath Toy Store measures about 7x5 inches across, and is about 13 inches tall, so it's not huge, but it works. Four cool color combinations available. $25.

The Skip Hop Tubby bath toy organizer is made of neoprene and has mesh inserts, so it's perfect for withstanding the water and helping toys dry out after bath time. The top is held up by a sturdy mounting plate, which has suction cups on the back so you can attach it to tile or other smooth surfaces. The little posts on the front can hold wash cloths or scrubbers. This organizer is about 12x15x4 inches, but it's a bit stretchy, so it can accommodate plenty of bath toys. Best of all, the Tubby bath toy organizer is machine-washable, so if soap residue or other yucky stuff builds up, you can just toss it in the wash to freshen it up. Available in blue and orange. $20.

Boon Frog Pod

Boon Frog Pod combines bath toy storage with some space for bath supplies, which is nice if your bathroom is small. The company also offers more than one way to attach Frog Pod to your wall. Semi-permanent adhesive strips and screws are both included with the Frog Pod, or you can buy a suction cup kit separately. Parents report varying levels of success with the adhesive strips, but they're certainly worth a try on smooth surfaces (read the directions!). The toy scoop detaches so you can scoop up errant bath toys and then hang the scoop back up so the toys can drain. A few bottles of shampoo can sit up top. The frog is pretty cool, visually, but if frogs aren't your thing, check out the ladybug-shaped Boon Bug Pod. $25-$30.
