Flush Stopper Keeps Automatic Toilets from Scaring Potty Training Toddlers

By , About.com Guide

Some toddlers are scared of the loud sounds automatic toilets make when they flush. My niece was one of those kids, and I remember her terror at using any public toilet, automatic or not, because she didn't want to hear that whooshing sound. Being scared of automatic toilets can be a real setback to potty training if you spend very much time away from home.

The Flush Stopper is an inexpensive, reusable product that blocks the electronic eye of automatic toilets so they won't flush while your toddler is still sitting there. All you have to do is stick the adhesive Flush Stopper over the electronic eye of the toilet until your toddler is finished, then remove it and put it back in the included storage pouch.

This is a simple solution to a very common potty training problem. The price is right, too. Flush Stopper sells for about $3, and is can be ordered via the Flush Stopper company website.
