Guide Review - Flippee Toilet Shield Review
Flippee is a toilet shield that is flexible plastic and attaches to the toilet with suction cups. When flipped up, it creates a barrier so that little boys have a harder time spraying walls and the back of the toilet. Then it can be flipped down in front of the toilet, out of the way, so the toilet can be used by others. A "drip lip" on the Flippee ensures that any wetness on the shield when it is flipped down doesn't then drip onto the floor. This is a great feature!
For moms whose little boys are peeing on the back of the toilet or onto nearby walls, Flippee seems to work pretty well. Wiping the Flippee down is much easier than cleaning the toilet back. In addition to blocking over-spray, Flippee also creates a smaller target area that can help boys learn to aim a bit better. Some moms may argue that lesson alone makes Flippee worth the cost, particularly when weighed against bathroom cleanings until he goes off to college.
Where Flippee falls short is that for a lot of toddler boys, peeing on the back of the toilet and walls isn't the problem. They're missing and hitting the front of the toilet or aiming a bit short and causing a drip situation on the front end. If that's your child's potty training issue, Flippee can't help. So, it may help some moms reduce their bathroom cleaning time, but Flippee isn't a one-stop answer to all toddler boy bathroom issues.
