Heather Wootton Corley is a freelance writer and mother with an active interest in new baby products and product safety. Since her daughter was born in 2001, Heather has navigated toy stores, kids clothing shops and baby products aisles in search of the perfect baby items, and now hopes to make those product decisions easier on other parents, friends and relatives of babies from birth to age four.
Heather shares her car seat expertise with new parents, helping them find the right car seat for their baby and install car seats correctly, as a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and Senior Checker with Safe Kids USA. As a Safe Kids local chapter director, she brings child safety programs to her community. In the past ten years, Heather has researched and written about topics from quilts to biotechnology and crops to historic buildings.
Heather holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural journalism and horticulture from Kansas State University. In 2005, she completed the Child Passenger Safety Technician certification course offered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Safe Kids Worldwide.
As a mother of one and aunt to nine, I've used many of today's baby products for my own family, and I understand the desire to choose useful, high-quality products and gifts for the kids you love. Whether you're looking for the perfect baby gift for a friend or browsing reviews of the best products for your newborn, infant or toddler, through this site I aim to provide practical information to help you make smart, safe and fun choices.
