© 2012, H. Corley.It's been unseasonably warm for us this month, but winter coat weather is creeping closer. For those of us with kids in car seats, buckling up safely while keeping them warm enough can be a problem in the chilliest part of winter.
You might have heard that thick coats shouldn't be used in car seats. That's because the puffy fabric that keeps baby warm can require you to loosen the car seat harness to make it fit. In a crash, that too-loose harness might not be able to restrain your child, though. Luckily, there are ways to safely keep your little one warm in the car this winter.
