The manufacturer says the Fisher Price Rock-A-Stack plastic dyes are all non-toxic, but that isn't enough to soothe some parents who have reported that the dye on the blue ring comes off pretty easily. Parents report that the blue dye has ended up on babies' faces, the stacking toy base, parents' hands, and even carpets and clothing.
One mother who first noticed the problem while washing a Rock-A-Stack toy says the dye took a few days to come off of her skin. A recent post at Consumerist.com tells of one family's ruined carpet that had permanent blue stains from a Rock-A-Stack toy. There are several negative customer reviews regarding the blue ring at retail websites where the Fisher Price Rock-A-Stack is sold, too.
Have you purchased a Fisher Price Rock-A-Stack in recent years? Have you had trouble with the dye on the blue ring?

I recently purchased one of these toys for my daughter from Toys ‘R Us. I thought the blue was just stained onto the green one. Then as she started playing with it I noticed that the blue was actually coming off on her hands. I wiped my finger acrossed it and it was transferred onto my hand immediately. I have tons of FP toys but this makes me nervous about all of them.
I purchased this toy for my grand-daughter. I can’t believe Fisher-Price has not recalled the Rock a Stack toy. I was very upset up see blue dye on my grand-daughter’s mouth. Non-toxic or not, this is not what I expect from an infant’s toy. The toy will be returned and will not be replaced. I’m sure I’ll be able to find a suitable replacement.
Has anything been done about this problem? I just bought one for my friend’s baby…due in two months. So it hasn’t been played with yet. I do know more and more manufactures are taking their business overseas where they don’t have the laws like we do here in the US.
This may be a problem especially for baby toys…what baby doesn’t put things in their mouth? Since I haven’t read anything about this in the news does that mean Fisher Price isn’t going to recall these or there haven’t been enough people complaining about it yet?
This concerns me because I have a website that sells Winnie the Pooh crib bedding and if this is going to be the norm for baby accessories, I would like to know. Please let me know when you do a follow up report on this. Thanks for letting everyone know about this problem.

Wow. I thought we must have a rare defective product, but after reading online, it appears there are tons of these toys with the blue paint coming off. I’ll just throw ours out!
Why has fisher price still not recalled this product???
One was given to my son as a gift and we just took it out for the first time. In the time it took for him to get all of the rings off, there was blue pain all over his mouth and hands. Fisher Price says that the paint in non-toxic. I asked the representative if she would give this product to her children. She said no. Enough said.
FISHER PRICE RECALL THE ROCK-A-STACK
