Delta Recalls Dropside Cribs Following Infant Death

Thursday October 23, 2008
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Delta have issued two recalls for dropside cribs following the death of an infant who was entrapped in a crib. More than 600,000 Delta dropside cribs were recalled because spring pegs can be pushed back into the lower track, allowing the drop side to disengage, creating a gap. In a separate recall, about 985,000 other Delta dropside cribs were recalled for replacement safety pegs because missing safety pegs can allow the crib locks to disengage and detach, creating a gap. Check CPSC's pages on the recalls by clicking the links above, or visit the Current Baby Products Recalls pages or www.cribrecallcenter.com for model numbers, pictures and other information.
