Music That Won't Drive You Crazy:
That Baby DVD

Friday September 19, 2008
I love the idea of exposing kids to music early and often, but like many parents, I can only take so many lullabies and nursery rhymes set to music. Plus, it's a little embarrassing when I'm at the grocery store and realize the song I'm humming is from a series that features anthropomorphic singing cartoon animals.

If you're looking for a change of pace, That Baby DVD offers acoustic versions of songs you probably already love, redone in ways your whole family can enjoy. The video that goes along with the music is low-key but fun. It's engaging without being overstimulating for babies and toddlers alike. From Joni Mitchell to Bruce Springsteen and Neil Diamond to 10,000 Maniacs, this is music your kids will love, and that will actually be pleasant when it's stuck in your head later in the day. Learn more in my review of That Baby DVD.
