CPSC Warning Prompts Retailers to Stop Selling Dangerous Bassinets
Toys R Us, Target, J.C. Penney, Big Lots, KMart and Wal-Mart have agreed to voluntarily stop sales and recall nearly 900,000 Simplicity 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 Close Sleeper bassinets. Some parents have reported trouble with returning the bassinets at some stores, and others say the bassinets are still on shelves at a few stores that have said they would recall them. It may help to print out the CPSC notice regarding the voluntary recall before you head to the store to return a Simplicity bassinet. Also double check that your Simplicity bassinet is covered in the recall.
