Chicco Recalls Bases for Some KeyFit Car Seats

Wednesday June 4, 2008
A new recall was issued recently for some bases that fit Chicco KeyFit and KeyFit 30 infant car seats, and that came with some Cortina travel systems. When the affected bases are installed using the LATCH connectors, the LATCH belt can slip through the adjuster lock, allowing too much movement for the car seat. Please check out Current Car Seat Recalls for details on this and other recent car seat recalls. If your Chicco infant car seat base is affected by the recall, you should install it only with the vehicle's seatbelts until a replacement base can be sent to you.
