BPA and Your Baby

Thursday April 24, 2008
Bisphenol A, or BPA, has been in the news a lot recently. This chemical, used in making plastic that is sometimes used in baby bottles, sippy cups and pacifiers, has been been linked to behavioral, neurological and developmental changes in high-dose animal tests. Many parents are switching to BPA-free bottles and other baby feeding products to avoid the potential risk. While I think it's important to err on the side of caution with our babies and toddlers, it's also important to put this latest risk into perspective. BPA is probably not high on the list of things that are an immediate danger to our children.
