Combi Recalls Centre, Shuttle Infant Car Seats
Monday March 3, 2008
More than 60,000 Combi Shuttle and Centre infant car seats are affected by a new recall. The company says that although the infant car seats meet federal safety standards, additional crash testing showed a potential for the seat to separate from the base. The company will send retrofit kits to all affected Centre and Shuttle owners. For more details on the Combi Centre and Shuttle recalls, including model numbers and manufacturer contact information, please visit the Current Car Seat Recalls pages.

Does that mean they will not be putting that item back on the market ?
We really liked the stroller because it is so compact when folded and yet looks comfortable/safe/sturdy.
The carseat is still online at target and babysrus, but not at buybuybaby. Furthermore, Babysrus and Buybuybaby do not carry them in store, and told us they sent them back because of the recall.
Is it not safe to buy them anymore ? It says they would be sending the spring that is missing (but a lot of people said it is now very hard to take the carseat out of the base… well that is always better than it popping out during a crash).
Any suggestions ?
