Evenflo Discovery Infant Car Seat Recall
Saturday February 2, 2008
One million Evenflo Discovery infant car seats are affected by a recent recall because new crash tests showed a potential for the car seat to separate from the base in certain high-speed side-impact collisions. If you own an Evenflo Discovery infant car seat, please visit the Recent Car Seat Recalls pages for model numbers, manufacture dates, and manufacturer contact information.

I have an Evenflo Discovery Infant Car Seat that was part of a travel system that is NOT one of the model #’s listed in your article or on the Evenflo site, but when I called the Evenflo recall toll free number and read the model number off where she told me, which like I said is not one of the ones listed it came up on her computer as needing the recall kit. She told me ALL the model #’s made in those years specified are recalled.
What a joke! Talk about a hassle to have to snap this extra belt on and off every time you take your baby in and out of the car. And of course you will do it when it comes to the safety of your child. If you ask me, Evenflo should offer buyers some discounts to purchase a new car seat, especially since my baby was born 2/14/08 and I had purchased my car seat in December.
Don’t use these carseats at all! My daughter was thrown out of her seat, into a ditch at 7 months old! They are not safe at all! We are lucky our little girl lived, Please buy a new carseat, its worth the $100 dollars to know your baby is really safe!
