Mia Moda Viva Infant Car Seats Recalled
Monday November 19, 2007
The NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation recently announced a new recall of nearly 1,000 Mia Moda Viva infant car seats. Under some circumstances, the lower anchor connector adjuster could interfere with the secure connection of the carrier into the base. Registration cards also were not included with the car seats or the extra bases. Registration cards are required per federal car seat safety standards, so that consumers can be notified in case of recall.
More details should be available on this recall when the company officially begins the consumer notification effort, which is expected to happen on December 1, 2007. For manufacture dates of the recalled car seats and company contact information, please visit the Current Car Seat Recalls pages.
