Graco Recalls ComfortSport Car Seats
Friday August 24, 2007
Graco recently announced a recall of its popular ComfortSport convertible car seat because the lower anchorage belt, commonly called the LATCH strap, may be misrouted and could interfere with the harness performance when the car seat is installed rear-facing with LATCH. You can visit Graco's ComfortSport recall page to find the list of affected model numbers and instructions on how to correct the lower anchorage belt routing. This is an easy fix, but if you're still concerned after reading the instructions, you can just install your ComfortSport with the vehicle seatbelt instead of LATCH to avoid the problem. If the car seat is installed forward-facing and you've already followed the instructions to route the lower anchorage belt for forward-facing mode, your ComfortSport car seat is not affected by this recall.
