CPSC Announces Infant Bouncer Recall, Magnetix Recall Expansion

Thursday April 19, 2007
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced a recall of Oeuf brand infant bouncy seats because the tubular frame can break, allowing baby to fall. No injuries have been reported at this time.

CPSC has also expanded last year's recall of Magnetix brand magnet building sets because injuries from the product are still being reported. Small magnets can detach from the Magnetix building sets. When the magnets are ingested, they can cause serious injuries that require immediate medical attention. Nearly 30 injuries have been reported, including one death. If you have a Magnetix building set in your home that was purchased before March 31, 2006, please take special note of this recall.

More information on these and other baby products recalls, including links to CPSC announcements and pictures, can be found by visiting the Current Baby Products Recalls pages.
