Buying a Nursery Glider or Rocking Chair

Thursday February 15, 2007
At some point in the nursery planning process, most parents envision themselves lovingly rocking their new baby to sleep in a rocking chair, possibly while singing a lullaby and gazing at the beautifully coordinated nursery surroundings. I know that was my vision. Unfortunately for me, I didn't choose well when I picked a glider rocker for my daughter's nursery. It squeaked right from the beginning and was hard to get out of once I had my arms full of baby goodness. To help all of you learn from my mistakes, I've compiled a short gliders and rocking chairs buying guide, so you'll know what to look for when you're shopping for nursery gear.
