Will Elmo TMX be the hot, must-have toy of the 2006 holiday season? If Fisher-Price has anything to say about it, yes. The manufacturer has kept the toy under a shroud of secrecy in preparation for its debut in toy stores today. Elmo TMX has been pre-selling like crazy, though, sight unseen, making this toy a likely contender for the "fighting in the toy store aisles" gift of the year. Elmo TMX was created to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the incredibly popular Tickle Me Elmo. All that was revealed about Elmo TMX prior to the debut was that the toy would require 6 AA batteries, would be appropriate for kids from 18 months to 5 years and it would sell for about $40.

It’s very sad to see the greed how people are selling Elmo TMX at far outrageous prices. It’s like steeling candy from a child. We are talking about 1-1/2 to 5 year olds that people are steeling from.
No wonder small children are so out of control. They are learning at a very young age from their parents.Just sit back and wait and there will be more than enough Elmos to go around without paying $200 plus.It really makes me sick to think of the greed in this great country of ours. I have no little ones that I am planning on buying a Elmo for but I have in my lifetime raised four children and they knew what” no not now meant” and it was ok with them.They knew they would get what they wanted sooner or later.

Why is it that you feel that making a profit on something is like stealing? It is a very simple supply and demand formula. I was smart enough to pre-order my 30 Elmo’s and then walked into the store on September 19th and bought another 10 right off the shelf. Anyone could have done that and shame on you if you didn’t. You knew when they were coming out. It cracks me up these people that wait to do anything and then complain about the people that are smart enough to be in line on day 1 or pre-order. If you did not get one before you buy mine on EBAY for hundreds, well that is your own stupid fault. That is what makes this country so great. I can buy something and resell it for a huge profit all because you can’t tell your child “no” and don’t want to listen to the crying on Christmas morning. There WILL be more made, but they will not be out before Christmas in the quantity required…

We would be able to buy an Elmo if you people didnt go and buy 50 of them at one time!! You people are just money hungry! If you have enough money to buy like 50 Elmos, then I think that you have plenty of money, why else would you buy that many?! You probably dont even have ONE child to give one too! I just want one, but because of you people, I cant even get one!
Agreed. I think it is stupid for people to buy 50 Elmos. If anything, THAT is the reason there aren’t enough to go around. I am all for people finding slick ways to make some extra cash, but I think there are better ways than using children’s toys to do that. Go pick on somebody your own size.
