Britney Spears made news reports recently when she was spotted driving down a California highway with her baby in her lap. Sadly, car seat mistakes are common, and are not limited to paparazzi-ridden celebrities. Child passenger safety groups report that 80 percent or more of the car seats in use in this country are being misused in at least one way. Ms. Spears is not alone in her car seat mistake. Car seat laws and recommendations can be difficult to understand, and so can the many different styles of car seats available today.
