New Safeguard Child Car Seat Addresses Car Seat Misuse
Tuesday September 20, 2005
Indiana-based IMMI has released a new car seat, called the Safeguard Child Seat, that features an aircraft aluminum frame, a 5-point harness that retracts like a vehicle seatbelt and a Posi-LATCH system for easier installation. Through innovative safety features, the Safeguard Child Seat seeks to address the five most common car seat misuses, which include not getting a proper harness strap fit for baby and not securing the car seat properly in the vehicle. The Safeguard car seat is expected to retail for $429 and will hold children from 22 pounds to 65 pounds, making it one of very few harnessed car seats that will serve children over 40 pounds.
